True Blood Season 2 Pack Auction for the Jesse Cartwright Trust Fund

Early February the sad news reached us that a crew member from the True Blood transport department had passed away. Jesse James Cartwright was only 39 years old and left behind 3 children, mother, brother and sister and an extended family and many friends.

Jesse worked for True Blood for several years and was greatly liked and appreciated by his colleagues and all the crew and cast members. The news of his passing was a great shock for everybody. Executive Producer Greg Fienberg gave a touching speech for the gathered crew about how they had lost a brother in the True Blood Family. Jesse passed away in January when True Blood was shooting episode 4.04, this episode is therefore dedicated to his memory.

With the participation of the producers, cast and crew a Trust Fund has been set up in order to help secure the financial future of Jesse’s children.

Well Done Truebies 'Tony The Tiger Will find New Home'

Well done Truebies, A month ago we reported that Kristin Bauer had joined the fight to give a better life to Tony, a 10-year-old Siberian-Bengal tiger, who spends his lonely days as an attraction at a Louisiana truck stop.
After a lawsuit filed by The Animal Legal Defense Fund and more than 30,000 signatures were collected on the online petition, a judge in East Baton Rouge District Court granted the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s (ALDF) request for a permanent injunction against the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, preventing the Department from renewing the annual permit that allows Michael Sandlin, owner of Grosse Tete’s Tiger Truck Stop, to display Tony.
Tony is scheduled to be moved from his current home at a truck stop to a new location by the end of the year.

In close collaboration with his fan sites Stephen will continue his efforts to raise funds for Facing The Atlantic, over $2100 have already been raised by his fans.

AllStephenMoyer.com and TrueBlood-Online.com are auctioning off an original HBO True Blood calendar signed by both Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin.

Stephen and Anna turned this True Blood calendar in a unique collector’s item by signing the cover of the calendar and 4 photos on the inside. That is a total of EIGHT AUTOGRAPHS on ONE ITEM.

True Bloods Kristin Bauer Needs Your Support To Save 'Tony The Tiger'

A Siberial Bengal tiger named Tony, living for the past decade at a truck stop in Grosse Tete, Louisiana as a tourist attraction, has gotten the attention of Kristin Bauer. Having the tiger there in solitary confinement is inhumane and also, it looks as if it’s illegal. This morning the ALDF filed a lawsuit against the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

“One of the big problems for me with zoos, circuses, and Tony, is that there are five or ten minutes when they are viewed, and someone is entertained— but the tiger has to live there his whole life, 24/7, 365 days a year,” said Bauer. “It’s incredibly, incredibly unfair. So it’s great to be able to bring more attention to it. I think these things only go on so long because they’re out of view.”

While the tiger lives in isolation, he is also subjected to the smell of fuel, exhaust, and the noise of diesel engines 24-hours a day.

Bauer ended by saying, “My character, the vampire Pam on True Blood, fends for herself just fine in her unlikely Louisiana home. But for one wild animal in particular, Louisiana is the last place on earth he belongs.”

True Bloods Anna Paquin Supports WWF’s Ocean 'Views Campaign'

Anna Paquin is supporting conservation organization WWF’s competition to encourage New Zealanders to use their creativity to help the environment and to protect New Zealand seas. WWF hopes celebrity stories would inspire people to submit creative work to the Ocean:Views competition.

The four categories are music, visual art, creative writing, and short film and the winning works will be displayed on World Oceans Day. Entries close on April 15. The Contest is just open to New Zealanders.

Anna Paquin is sketched by artist Jordan Barnes and in the beautiful portrait she states “The Ocean. It’s my connection to home. How about you?”
