Charlaine Harris At The ‘If All Arkansas’ Book Event In North Little Rock

“Dead in the Family,” published in May, was her 10th book of the Sookie series. She told the audience that she has completed book 11 and is contracted to write at least two more.
Harris spoke about 10 minutes to the audience, and then opened the floor to questions. Her readers in attendance loved it.
One woman with a British accent wanted to know how Harris got her ideas for the sexy and violent acts in the books, noting that “we all know that Magnolia is not a happening town.”
Harris let the laughter die down and then smiled as she said, “You don’t know my husband.” Again the audience roared with laughter and Harris continued with “and I have a great imagination. Finally, she finished the bit with “my husband would die if he knew I said that.”
